Severe Weather Warning Research with Matt Mahalik
This week we'll talk with Research Meteorologist Matt Mahalik! Matt graduated from Penn State University in 2012 with a B.S. in meteorology. In 2015, he earned his master's from Texas Tech University where he studied supercells and vorticity dynamics while working with mobile radars. Currently, he works at the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies where he works on a number of projects, one of which helps develop mesocyclone and tornado detection algorithms.
